abstract | The present invention discloses a biosynthetic gene cluster of xiamycin A and oxiamycin, and an application thereof. The nucleotide sequence of the biosynthetic gene cluster is represented by a base sequence from 2693 to 26792 in SEQ ID NO.1. The biosynthetic gene cluster contains 18 genes, wherein the 18 genes specifically comprise: genes for terpene skeleton synthesis, wherein the genes comprise 5 genes of xiaD, xiaE, xiaF, xiaN and XiaP; oxido-reductase genes, wherein the genes comprise 8 genes of xiaA, xiaB, xiaI, xiaJ xiaK, xiaL, xiaM and xiaO; and genes for encoding regulators and transporters, wherein the genes comprise 5 genes of xiaC, xiaG, xiaH, xiaQ and xiaR. According to the present invention, information containing all genes and proteins related to biosynthesis of xiamycin A and oxiamycin are provided and can help people to understand the biosynthesis mechanism of natural products of xiamycin family so as to provide materials and knowledge for further genetic modification. The genes and the proteins thereof in the present invention can be used for searching and finding compounds or genes and proteins used in medicine, industry or agriculture. |
