abstract The invention discloses a phthalthrin degrading bacterium and an application thereof in soil restoration. The phthalthrin degrading bacterium provided by the invention is a T-6 strain of a pseudomonas sp. genus. With the strain, under an aerobic condition, 200mg/L of phthalthrin can be completely degraded within 48h. The strain T-6 shows different degrees of sensitivity responses to gentamicin, neomycin, tetracycline, and kanamycin, and shows tolerance to 13 tested metals. The strain has a capacity for highly efficiently degrading phthalthrin in a water environment and an actual soil environment. With the strain, phthalthrin degradation time can be substantially reduced. Wherefore, the strain has actual application significance and value.
