The novel Streptomyces sampsonii KJ40 strain obtained by screening has multiple functions of disease prevention and growth promotion and is capable of preventing violet root rot and evidently improving growing ability of poplar, and production effectiveness is improved greatly. The novel Streptomyces sampsonii KJ40 strain has curative effect on violet root rot and has the effect of improving soil bioactivity. The novel Streptomyces sampsonii KJ40 strain is effective for long after being applied once and is capable of continuously controlling the violet root rot so that cost is greatly reduced.
