abstract The invention provides a method for removing impurities from commercial L-borneol (blumea camphor) by adopting a chemical reaction method and obtaining high-purity L-borneol (blumea camphor). The method comprises the following steps of: dissolving the commercial L-borneol (blumea camphor) with a certain amount of solvent a by heating, dissolving a reagent A, a reagent B and a reagent C by using a solvent b, adding into the solution of the L-borneol, performing heat preservation reaction for certain time at a certain temperature, cooling, pouring the reaction solution into a certain amount of solvent c, cooling, keeping for certain time, and filtering; dissolving filter cakes with a solvent d by heating, removing the lower layer, taking the upper layer for cooling and catalyzing, filtering under reduced pressure, evaporating in vacuum, and thus obtaining the high-purity L-borneol.
