titleOfInvention | Glossing unit, fixing device and image forming apparatus |
abstract | The invention provides a glossing unit, a fixing device and an image forming apparatus incorporating same, which can prevent creasing and loosening in a delivery medium to improve joint-sealing with a cooling part and prevent uneveness of gloss to ensure good glossing performance. The glossing unit comprises a heat roller 54; a stripper roller 55; a smooth, endless belt 51 looped between the heat roller 54 and the stripper roller 55; a pressure roller 56 opposite the heat roller 54 via the belt 51; a cooler 571 inside the loop of the belt 51 between the heat roller 54 and the stripper roller 55 to cool the belt 51, wherein after a toner image T on a recording medium is heated and pressed in a nip, the nipped recording medium P is delivered at the joint-sealing state with the belt 51 and separeted by the stripper roller 55 and remains in contact with the belt; and a belt tensioner 52 in contact with the belt 51 to tension the belt in a transverse direction of the belt 51. |
