titleOfInvention Synthesis of 4-[4-(methylsulfonyl)phenyl]-5-phenyl-2-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazole
abstract The invention discloses a new method for synthesizing 4-[4-(methylsulfonyl)phenyl]-5-phenyl-2-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazole, which belongs to the technical field of organic chemical synthesis. The steps include: reacting thioanisole and acetyl chloride to generate 4-methylthioacetophenone; then reacting with methyl benzoate to generate 1-(4-methylthiophenyl)-3-phenyl-1,3-dione ; Reaction with tert-butyl nitrite to generate 1-(4-methylthiobenzene)-2-phenyl-1,2 dione; Reaction with trifluoroacetaldehyde methyl hemiacetal to generate 4-[4- (Methylthio)phenyl]-5-phenyl-2-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazole; finally oxidized to generate the 4-[4-(methylsulfonyl)phenyl]-5-benzene -2-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazole. The synthesis method of the invention avoids the use of cyanide and the destruction of carbon-carbon double bonds by KMnO 4 , and has industrial application value.
