abstract The invention relates to an insecticidal composition. The effective components of the insecticidal composition are indoxacarb and Paichongding (C17H23ClN4O3), wherein the mass ratio of the indoxacarb to the Paichongding is (40:1)-(1:50). The invention also relates to an application of the insecticidal composition to control of tea lesser leafhoppers. The insecticidal composition has the advantages that after the indoxacarb and the Paichongding are compounded according to the proportion, the obvious synergistic action to pests is achieved, the drug resistance of the pests can be delayed or overcome, the drug amount used in field can be reduced, the environmental pollution and the pesticide residue are effectively reduced, the danger to beneficial organisms is reduced and the single-dose use cost of the indoxacarb can be reduced.
