| abstract | The invention provides a method for large-scale catch of copepods by tides, which includes: hanging hundreds of wingless trap nets on mast ropes on a fixed platform or a plurality of anchors or stakes; allowing openings of the nets to face tides; and allowing the copepods to automatically flow into the trap nets to be caught by the falling tides or rising tides. People can haul the nets on demand to collect the copepods in the nets, and the method can be used for catching the copepods in tidy periods, except the no-tide or small-tide periods on or near the time of high tides and low tides. The method is energy-saving, efficient and applicable to development of large-scale and industrial fishing. |
