abstract The invention discloses a hollow ring-shaped light beam output solid laser and a using method therefor. The laser comprises a pumping source, wherein a coupled collimation lens, a coupled focusing lens, laser gain medium and an output mirror for the same optical axis are sequentially arranged in the direction of pumping lights output by the pumping source, the output end of the pumping source is placed at the focus point of the object space of the coupled collimation lens, a laser high-reflection film and a pumping light antireflection film are plated on the front surface of the laser gain medium, so that the laser gain medium can serve as a front cavascope, a laser antireflection film is plated on the rear surface of the laser gain medium, and the output mirror and the front surface of the laser gain medium form a laser resonator cavity, the coupled focusing lens and the laser gain medium are both provided with motion regulating mechanisms in the direction of the optical axis, and the pumping light is enabled to be positioned inside or outside the laser gain medium by passing the focus point of the pumping light of the coupled focusing lens through adjustment. The solid laser provided by the invention can output hollow ring-shaped laser beams, and has the characteristics of simple and compact structure, excellent beam quality, stability in system operation and strong implementability.
