abstract The invention discloses a preparation method for water-fast starch adhesive with high initial adhesion. The preparation method is characterized by comprising the following steps of: adding emulsifier and water into oxidized starch, uniformly mixing and stirring, adding oxidant, after oxidation treatment, adding grafting initiator ammonium persulfate, stirring uniformly, adding a grafting agent and a reducing agent sodium hydrogensulfite, and performing graft copolymerization to obtain starch-vinyl monomer graft copolymer; adding filler in an amount which is 15 to 40 percent based on the mass of oxidized starch with stirring, and adding pH buffer solution in an amount which is 0.6 to 1 percent based on the mass of the oxidized starch; preserving heat at the temperature of between 80 and 95 DEG C for 15 to 45 minutes, gelatinizing, cooling to room temperature, and adding plasticizer in an amount which is 0.1 to 0.3 percent based on the mass of starch, wherein the comprehensive performance such as water resistance, initial adhesion, stability and the like of the obtained starch adhesive meets the application performance requirement of adhesives for corrugated boards, and the water-fast starch adhesive with the high initial adhesion can meets the requirements of high-speed production and application and popularization of the current corrugated boards.
