abstract The invention provides an antioxidant manufacturing method which comprises the following steps of: culturing a Pichia microorganism in a culture medium containing bean dregs, and obtaining the antioxidant from the supernatant. The invention also provides an antioxidant which has high SOD (Superoxide Dismutase) activity and is obtained by the manufacturing method. According to the manufacturing method provided by the invention, the specific microorganism is utilized and byproduct bean dregs from the food processing industry and the like serve as main raw materials of the culture medium, thus the antioxidant can be obtained at low cost and high efficiency.
