titleOfInvention | Method for producing sodium chlorite by sulfur method |
abstract | The invention discloses a method for producing sodium chlorite by a sulfur method, which comprises the steps that: (1) sulfuric acid is added into sodium chlorate solution, and mixed liquor with sulfuric acid concentration of 1-10mol L<-1> and sodium chlorate concentration of 1-5mol/L <-1> is obtained; (2) the mixed liquor is added in a reactor which contains sulfur powder to start reacting, the reaction temperature is 25-80 DEG C, and chlorine dioxide and a small quantity of chlorine are generated after the reaction; and (3) the mixed absorption solution of alkali liquor and hydrogen peroxide is loaded into an absorber, wherein the molar ratio of the alkali liquor to the hydrogen peroxide to the sodium chlorate in the reactor is (0.5-1):( 0.5-0.8):1, the gas which is produced in the reactor is introduced into the absorber, the temperature is maintained in a range of minus 5 DEG C to 10 DEG C, and the reaction is carried out for 0.5-3hours. The method utilizes the cheap sulfur to convert a raw material of sodium chlorate into the sodium chlorite through two steps of reaction, the conversion rate can reach above 95%, and the cost is lower. |
