titleOfInvention Method of capturing cell fluid and analyzing components thereof while observing cell and system for capturing and analyzing cell fluid
abstract It is intended to provide a means of quickly clarifying the dynamics and molecular mechanism of a biological phenomenon by, at least in a single cell, enabling the convenient and quick detection of molecules in a fluid contained in the cell and simultaneously observing the cell dynamics. At the same time, it is aimed at providing a means of searching for an active molecule providing a certain state of a cell from among a number of the detected molecules. The fluid contained in a single cell is directly sucked through a capillary and then loaded directly on an analyzer. This procedure is carried out under a magnifying glass such as a microscope while observing the cell. In the case of employing mass spectrometry, in particular, the fluid contained in the cell is captured by directly sucking through an ionization capillary for a nano-spray, mixed with an ionization-assisting solvent, and then directly introduced into a mass spectrometer by the direct spraying method. Thus, the molecular components of the inner fluid are detected even from a single cell. By analyzing the thus captured molecular peaks among cell data groups in different states with the use of differential analysis or t-calibration, a peak, i.e., a molecule that is specific to a certain state is identified.
