abstract The invention discloses a Chinese medicinal preparation for treating rhinitis. The preparation is prepared by the following bulk medicines by weight: 20-30 parts of andrographis paniculata, 20-30 parts of polygonum cuspidatum, 15-25 parts of pogostemon cablin, 15-25 parts of flos magnolia, 10-20 parts of radix scutellariae, 10-20 parts of ephedra, 10-15 parts of angelica dahurica, 5-15 parts of centipeda minima, 5-12 parts of honeysuckle, 3-8 parts of menthol, and 3-8 parts of forsythia. The Chinese medicinal preparation of the invention is mainly used for diminishing inflammation, clearing heat, dispelling wind, dissipating coldness, removing obstruction and reliving pain, and is suitable for chronic simple rhinitis and allergic rhinitis. During treatment, the Chinese medicinal preparation is for oral administration for three times every day, about 3-5g each time. 10 days are taken as a treatment course. Generally, the preparation can take effect in 2 days, and can have an obvious effect in one treatment course. And rhinitis can be cured in 3 treatment courses. Among 279 treated cases, the Chinese medicinal preparation of the invention cures 243 cases, presents substantial effect in 19 cases, takes effect in 15 cases, and has little effect in 2 cases, thus having a total effective rate up to 99.3%.
