titleOfInvention | Method for removing hexavalent chromium in water by utilizing low temperature plasma |
abstract | The invention discloses a method for removing hexavalent chromium in waste water. The method comprises steps of: adding hexavalent chromium pollutant-containing water to be treated between a needle-type hollow high voltage electrode and a plate-type grounding electrode and covering the plate-type grounding electrode; first introducing air into the needle-type hollow high voltage electrode; then introducing current output by a high frequency power supply into needle-type hollow high voltage electrode for corona discharge; treating water to be treated with generated low temperature plasma and reducing hexavalent chromium in the pollutant into trivalent chromium. The high frequency power supply has a discharge voltage peak value of 8000-12000 V (AC sine wave), a current peak value of 20-50mA and generated discharge frequency of 2.5-30 kHz. The invention employs a needle-type and plate-type discharge method to treat a water sample containing hexavalent chromium and has advantages of high efficiency, mild reaction conditions, little secondary pollution, strong controllability and easy operation, etc. |
