abstract The invention discloses a method and equipment for preparing borneol flakes. The method comprises the following steps of: putting stems and leaves of Blumea balsamifera into a multi-functional extracting tank and performing steam distillation for 3 to 4 hours to obtain crudely-extracted Blumea balsamifera powder, performing centrifugal separation by using a solid-liquid centrifuge, and thus obtaining finely-extracted Blumea balsamifera powder; putting the finely-extracted Blumea balsamifera powder into a rectifying still and rectifying to obtain primary borneol flake crystals, putting the primary borneol flake crystals and petroleum ether into a reaction kettle and fully stirring until the primary borneol flake crystals are completely dissolved; and finally, performing cooling crystallization, filtering to remove the petroleum ether after colorless flaky crystals are precipitated, air-drying the colorless flaky crystals, and thus obtaining high-purity borneol flakes of which the content of L-borneol reaches 98 percent. By the embodiment of the invention, the content of the L-borneol in the borneol flakes can be improved, and the ability of comprehensively utilizing the Blumea balsamifera can be improved, so that the production cost for the borneol flakes is reduced, and the production efficiency of the borneol flakes is improved.
