titleOfInvention | Silver-based inorganic antibacterial agent and method for producing same |
abstract | Disclosed is a powder of a silver-based inorganic antibacterial agent, which comprises silver-carrying hexagonal zirconium phosphate, having good dispersibility and high water-permeability. Also disclosed are an antibacterial product and a water-treating agent both using said powdery silver-based inorganic antibacterial agent. A production method comprising a step for wet-heating zirconium carbonate, whereby a silver-based inorganic antibacterial agent comprising hexagonal zirconium phosphate crystals, which is in the form of a powder easy to handle and shows such a grain size distribution as easily allowing the achievement of the antimicrobial effect, can be produced. A silver-based inorganic antibacterial agent, which comprises 90% by volume or more of particles ranging in size from 10 [mu]m to 100 [mu]m inclusive, shows no aggregation or the like in a step for kneading into a processed resin product and can be easily exposed on the surface of a molded article. Thus, the silver-based inorganic antibacterial agent can easily exert the antimicrobial effect. When the silver-based inorganic antibacterial agent is used as a water-treating agent, water can easily permeate therethrough and, therefore, the agent can be easily separated from water. |
