abstract | The invention discloses a method for improving utilization efficiency of fiber biomass energy in a plant, and provides a method for culturing a transgenic plant. The method for culturing the transgenic plant comprises the step of reducing the expression of a caffeoyl-CoA (Coenzyme A) 3-O-methyltransferase (CCoAOMT) encoding gene in the plant to obtain the transgenic plant, wherein compared with a garget plant, cell wall components of the transgenic plant change and the saccharification efficiency is improved; the change of the cell wall components is embodied as follows: the content of acid-insoluble lignin is lowered, the content of acid-soluble lignin is lowered and the content of cellulose is increased; and the improvement of the saccharification efficiency is embodied as follows: the enzymolysis efficiency of cellulose is improved. According to the invention, by combining a transgenic technology with an antisense RNA (ribonucleic acid) technology, a transgenic poplar of which the CCoAOMT gene expression is inhibited, and the total content of lignin in mature wood of the transgenic poplar is lowered by 6-10%, wherein the content of acid-soluble lignin is obviously lowered and the release amount of glucose is obviously increased. The lowering, due to transgenosis, of the content of acid-soluble lignin has important significance in production of biological fuels. |
