abstract |
The invention relates to a double-stranded ribonucleic acid (dsRNA) used for preventing and treating infections of human papillomavirus subtype 16 (HPV16). The dsRNA contains a fragment with a length of 19-25 nucleotides and basically complementary to at least one part of the HPV16 E7 gene. The invention also relates to a medicinal composition containing the dsRNA and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The invention also relates to a method for applying the dsRNA and the medicinal composition in preventing and treating HPV16 infections and diseases caused by HPV16 infections, as well as a method for applying the dsRNA and the medicinal composition in inhibiting the expression of the HPV16 E7 gene in a cell. |
