abstract | The invention discloses an installation method of a prefabricated middle connector of a flexible DC (direct current) transmission cable. The installation method comprises the following steps: step 1, overlapping and aligning a first section of cable and a second section of cable, and signing a medium line of the connector; step 2, sequentially stripping an outer sheath of the cables, cutting off a second section of invalid cable, stripping a composite aluminum film layer, turning over a metallic shield layer and stripping a water proof tape, cutting off a first section of invalid cable, stripping an insulated shield layer and stripping an insulated layer to expose conductors; step 3, sleeving a pre-expanded pipe sleeved with the middle connector on the first section of cable or the second section of cable; step 4, carrying out crimp connection between the two sections of conductor in the step 2; step 5, installing the middle connector; step 6, recovering the connection of the insulated shield layer, the metallic shield layer, the composite aluminum film layer and the cable outer sheath of the two sections of cable; step 7, sleeving a protective box at the joint of the two section of cables. The installation method provided by the invention has the advantages that the generation of space charge at the joint of the two section of cable can be avoided and restrained, thus the operational security and stability of the cable line can be ensured. |
