abstract The invention relates to a nano silver/cube silver chloride photo-catalytic material and a preparation method. The photo-catalytic material comprises uniform cube silver chloride crystallites and the nano silver which is formed on the surface of the crystallite on the same position, and the weight of the nano silver particles is 5-30% of the total weight of the catalyst. The preparation method of the photo-catalytic material comprises the following steps: (1) adopting a double-column precipitation method to control the pCI value during the reaction process under the existence of polymeric protector, and preparing the cube silver chloride crystallites; (2) washing through warm water to remove the polymeric protector and inorganic salt; (3) adopting an ultraviolet lamp to photo-reduce the prepared silver chloride crystallites so as to obtain the nano silver/cube silver chloride photo-catalytic material. Compared with the prior art, the invention has simple preparation process, does not need high temperature, and can control the appearance of the catalyst. The catalyst prepared by the invention can absorb the visible light through the plasma resonance effect of the nano silver particles, and can effectively degrade organic pollutant, for example, dye.
