titleOfInvention | Method for preparing 2-methoxy-5-chlorobenzoic acid |
abstract | The invention discloses a method for preparing 2-methoxy-5-chlorobenzoic acid, which comprises: dissolving p-methoxy-benzoic acid in dichloromethane, keeping the temperature between 10 and 15 DEG C, dripping sulfuryl chloride for chlorination, adding water at the end of chlorination for washing, separating an organic phase, distilling out dichloromethane under a reduced pressure, obtaining a coarse product of 2-methoxy-5-chlorobenzoic acid, and obtaining white crystal product by recrystallizing the coarse product in alcohol, wherein the molar ratio of p-methoxy-benzoic acid to sulfuryl chloride is 1:(1.2-1.5). Making a change to the conventional synthesis route, the method prepares 2-methoxy-5-chlorobenzoic acid by chlorinating p-methoxy-benzoic acid with sulfuryl chloride. The method is simple in process operation, adopts readily available raw material, is very safe, has high yield, ensures stable quality, is easy for industrial production, has very high practicality and can produce great economic and social benefit. |
