abstract The invention relates to a method for producing formaldehyde by using urea-formaldehyde distillate in a participation and absorption mode, and relates to a urea-formaldehyde glue and formaldehyde production method. The method comprises a formaldehyde production line and an end buffer tank of a urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive production line. The invention is characterized in that distillate in the end buffer tank of the urea-formaldehyde glue is sent to a glue precipitation tank by a first pump for depositing the glue; then the glue precipitation tank is successively communicated with a glue filter, a secondary pump, a reflux valve and a reflux port of the glue precipitation tank, distillate is circulated and pumped to the glue filter for filtering the residual glue; a valve is connected in a pipe which connects the secondary pump and the reflux valve through three-way tube, the valve is communicated with an absorbed water inlet pipeline at the top of an absorbing tower on the formaldehyde production line, the secondary pump is performed filtering while the distillate pumped in the absorbing tower is mixed with absorbed water, The free formaldehyde and free alcohol in distillate can be recovered through the absorbing tower. The invention has the advantages that urea-formaldehyde distillate is recovered and utilized on the formaldehyde production line and the environmental pollution caused by the sewage discharge can be avoided.
