titleOfInvention Sand-based composition and expanded sand as well as preparation method of expended sand
abstract The invention provides a sand-based composition which contains silica sand, volume expansion particles and a binder, wherein the volume expansion particle is a substance capable of expanding after contacting with water. The invention provides expanded sand and a preparation method thereof. The expanded sand is a product obtained by solidifying the sand-based composition and smashing the solidified product, wherein the sand-based composition contains the silica sand, the volume expansion particles and the binder. The expanded sand provided by the invention has good expansion property; and in addition, the volume expansion particles can be bonded together with one another after expansion to form a water-resisting and oil-resisting barrier, thus the expanded sand can manifest good water plugging effect when being used as a water-plugging profile modification agent.
