abstract The invention relates to a method for preparing micro/nano heretically-structured insert octahedral Zn2SnO4, which comprises the following steps: firstly, reacting a tintetrachloride compound, a zinc acetate compound and an alkali metal hydroxide in water in the presence of L-tryptophan and uniformly dispersing; secondly, reacting in a high-pressure kettle, wherein the reaction temperature is controlled to be 170 to 200 DEG C; and finally, separating the product of the reaction, drying and obtaining the micro/nano heretically-structured insert octahedral Zn2SnO4. In the method, the molar ratio of tintetrachloride compound to zinc acetate compound and to alkali metal hydroxide is 1:(2-3):(8-12), and the molar ratio of L-tryptophan to tintetrachloride compound is (5-10):3. The invention also relates to the micro/nano heretically-structured insert octahedral Zn2SnO4 prepared by the method and the use of the micro/nano heretically-structured insert octahedral Zn2SnO4 in electrodes of dye sensitized solar cells and photocatalytic reduction of CO2.
