abstract The invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for treating functional dyspepsia (FD) based on an intermingled cold and heat symptom and a preparation method thereof. The pharmaceutical composition comprises the following bulk drugs in parts by weight: 10 parts of rhizoma pinelliae preparata, 10 parts of radix scutellariae, 5 parts of rhizoma coptidis, 10 parts of dried ginger, 15 parts of pilose asiabell root, 5 parts of fresh liquorice, 10 parts of officinal magnolia bark, 15 parts of stir-fried medicated leaven and 30 parts of calcined ark shell. The pharmaceutical composition overcomes the defects that the existing pharmaceutical preparation for treating FD has undefined indefinite etiology and pathogenesis as well as only symptomatic treatment; and the pharmaceutical composition for treating FD based on the intermingled cold and heat symptom is safe and active, low in cost and convenient to grasp.
