abstract Disclosed are a method for producing a wafer lens and an apparatus for producing a wafer lens, wherein a high precision wafer lens can be obtained easily. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing a wafer lens in which at least one surface of a glass substrate is provided with a lens part that is formed from a photocurable resin. The method for producing a wafer lens comprises: a dispensing step wherein a photocurable resin is dropped into a mold that has a surface of a negative shape corresponding to the optical surface shape of the lens part; an imprinting step wherein imprinting is carried out by pressing the resin and the glass plate against each other after the dispensing step; an exposure step wherein the resin is irradiated with light after the imprinting step; and a mold-releasing step wherein the mold is separated from the glass substrate after the exposure step. In at least one of the dispensing step, imprinting step, exposure step and the mold-releasing step, the pressure is reduced.
