abstract | A mineral slurry comprises 40 to 55% by weight water; 45 to 58% by weight of a solid particulate clay material; and up to 2% by weight of a diamino-alcohol compound having the formula, wherein R is independently hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, or -CH2OH; R1 is independently hydrogen, alkyl, or -CH2OH; alternatively, R and R1 may be linked together to form a cycloalkyl; R2 is independently hydrogen, methyl, alkyl, phenyl or substituted phenyl; R3 is independently hydrogen, alkyl, phenyl or substituted phenyl, or -CH2OH; R4 is independently hydrogen, alkyl, or -CH2OH; and alternatively, R3 and R4 may be linked together to form a cycloalkyl; wherein all weight percents are based on the total weight of the mineral slurry. |
