titleOfInvention | Application of vector with OsMS2 (Oryza sativa L Male Sterile2) gene |
abstract | The invention discloses an application of a vector with an OsMS2 (Oryza sativa L Male Sterile2) gene, belonging to the technical field of gene engineering. The vector is a protein, plasmid, host cell or polypeptide, wherein the protein has an amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:2, or the protein is a derived protein which is formed by substituting, reducing or adding one or several amino acids and has fatty acid hydroxylase activity; the plasmid or host cell contains a gene shown in SEQ ID NO: 1; and the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide is shown in SEQ ID NO:2. The vector is used for regulating and controlling the synthesis of fatty alcohol components of the anther epidermis and extine of rice, and causing the male sterility of the rice by the lacking specificity of the gene function. |
