The invention relates to a 16beta-methyl-17alpha-hydroxypreg-3, 20- diketone compound and a synthesis thereof. The 16beta-methyl-17alpha-hydroxypreg-3, 20- diketone compound is a novel intermediate of synthesizing betamethasone, and is obtained by using pregn-16-ene-20S-acetate as raw material and 6 reaction steps. The invention has the advantages of easy obtaining of the raw materials, moderate reaction conditions, simple and short operation steps and high yield, providing a feasible way of synthesizing betamethasone. |
