abstract |
Disclosed is a catalyst for producing an alkenyl aromatic compound by dehydrogenation of an alkyl aromatic compound. Also disclosed are a method for producing such a catalyst and use of such a catalyst. Specifically disclosed is a catalyst which enables production of an alkenyl aromatic compound with high yield under such high-carbon-dioxide-concentration dehydrogenation conditions wherein CO2 is present in a molar ratio of 0.015-0.20 relative to aromatic compounds contained in the raw material gas. The catalyst contains iron, an alkali metal and about 13-60% by weight of a rare earth element in terms of oxides, and this catalyst is brought into contact with a reaction gas. |
