abstract | The invention relates to a method for preparing an oxide, carbide, and/or oxycarbide fuel comprising uranium and at least one actinide and/or lanthanide element, said method including the steps of: preparing a feedstock solution consisting of a nitric solution containing said actinide and/or lanthanide in the form of actinide and/or lanthanide nitrates and uranium in the form of a hydroxylated uranyl nitrate compound; passing said solution on a cation-exchange resin including carboxylic groups, whereby the actinide and/or lanthanide in the cationic form and the uranium in the uranyl form remains fixed to the resin; and thermally processing said resin in order to obtain said fuel. |
