abstract | The invention, belonging to the chemical field of polymer synthesis, relates to multi-armed star-like polyethyleneglycol(POE) containing a single functional group and a preparation method thereof. In the presence of catalyst, active hydroxyl of one end of POE is protected by ethyl vinyl ether, a small molecular compound with a protected hydroxyl and active hydroxyls on two ends respectively is prepared, the ring opening polymerization of ethylene oxide is triggered by the small molecular compound and an oxide anion produced by reacting with metallic potassium, and the multi-armed star-like POE containing the single functional group with multiple functions is prepared. The variant end functional PEO prepared by the invention can be purified repeatedly by dissolution and precipitation, with the advantages of narrow molecular weight distribution, clear structure and high yield, and can be characterized in detail by means of MALDI-TOF MS, SEC and 1H HMR. The method is simple and can be used universally, with good industry prospect. |
