abstract | Provided is a coating liquid for forming a coating film which gives a film, and especially an optical film, which has high transparency and also high heat resistance. Disclosed are: a triaroylbenzene-based polymer in which the terminus of a polymer formed by polymerizing a compound represented by formula [1] is modified with a compound represented by formula [2], a coating liquid for forming a coating film which contains the polymer, and a film obtained from the coating liquid for forming a coating film. [1] In the formulae, X1 represents a divalent group represented by formula [1a], formula [1b] or formula [1c] [2] (In the formula, Y1 and Y2 each independently represent a C1-C2 alkyl group, n represents an integer of 1-6, and m represents an integer of 1-6.), X2 represents divalent benzene, thiophene, furan or fluorene, and X3 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, CF3, a C1-C6 alkoxy group or a C1-C6 alkyl group. |
