Process for producing aromatic aldehyde compound |
abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide an industrially advantageous production method for obtaining a benzaldehyde compound from a benzyl alcohol compound at a high yield. The present invention relates to a method for producing an aromatic aldehyde compound represented by formula (2), characterized in that at least one metal compound selected from molybdenum compounds and tungsten compounds and at least one metal compound selected from quaternary ammonium salts and organic phosphonium salts The aromatic methanol compound represented by the formula (1) is reacted with a peroxide under the condition that the pH of the reaction solution is not less than pH 0.01 and less than 10 in the presence of a salt. |
