Fiber, nonwoven fabric, and use thereof |
abstract |
A nonwoven polypropylene fabric excellent in both initial hydrophilicity and long-lasting hydrophilicity. Namely, the fabric comes to have hydrophilicity in a short time after the production thereof (initial hydrophilicity) and recovers the hydrophilicity in a short time even when the nonwoven fabric is heat-treated (long-lasting hydrophilicity). Also provided are fibers of a propylene copolymer composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a propylene/alpha-olefin random copolymer having a melting point (Tm) in the range of 125-155 DEG C and 0.5-5 parts by weight of a nonionic surfactant comprising an alkylene oxide adduct of an aliphatic alcohol. |
