abstract The invention relates to pyrimidine ring-containing benzoyl(thio)carbamide compounds which have the structural formula disclosed as a general formula I, wherein R1 represents halogen, a methyl group or a methoxyl group; R2 represents hydrogen, halogen, a methyl group, a trifluoromethyl group or a nitro group, R2 is monosubstituted or polysubstituted for any position of a benzene ring, and the elements or groups represented by R2 in the polysubstitution condition are identical or different; X represents O or S; and Y represents O or S. The compounds have obvious inhibiting action on various pests, such as armyworms, culex and the like, and can be used as an insecticide.
