abstract | The invention relates to application of a nano-composite material responding to visible light as a photocatalytic bactericide, wherein the photocatalytic bactericide is a copper ferrite-copper cobalt composite and has relatively good effect in killing escherichia coli and staphylococcus under irradiation of visible light. In a suspension, the bactericide is used for carrying out a simulated sunlight photocatalytic sterilization experiment on escherichia coli and staphylococcus with a concentration of 104 CFU/mL, wherein when the usage of the photocatalyst is 1.0-3.0 mug/mL and TiO2 accounts for 60-80wt% of the photocatalyst, the sterilizing rates of the bactericide within 30 minutes are over 90% and 80% respectively. Similarly, sterilization experiments on escherichia coli and staphylococcus are conducted for a ceramic tile coated with the photocatalyst and plywood coated with paint containing the photocatalyst respectively, wherein the sterilizing rates within 30 minutes are over 88%, 80%, 80% and 70% respectively. The composite photocatalyst has the characteristic of strong sterilizing ability under visible light; and moreover, the raw materials are rich, the price is low, and the process is simple. |
