abstract The invention relates to a water-based environment-friendly insulating paint, which consists of 30 to 70 percent of waterborne alkyd resin, 1 to 2 percent of base material wetting agent, 8 to 10 percent of aqueous dispersing agent, and 20 to 25 percent of water-based crosslinking agent. A preparation method comprises the following steps of: mixing the waterborne alkyd resin with the aqueous dispersing agent, and reducing the temperature to 60+/-5DEG C; adding the water-based crosslinking agent, the base material wetting agent and water in turn; and quickly stirring until a uniform state is achieved. The raw materials are low in price, environment-friendly, wide in application range and harmless to a human body in the preparing and using processes; and in the preparing process, the process is easy to control, the process time is short, energy is saved, and the produced finished product has excellent performance, and can be regulated according to actual requirements of customers to meet the requirements of the customers.
