Formaldehyde scavenger and wood material using same |
abstract |
Disclosed is a formaldehyde scavenger and wood material using the same with which excellent formaldehyde scavenging performance can be obtained without discoloration of the wood material, and with no re-release of the formaldehyde. The formaldehyde scavenger contains urea, a first ammonium phosphate, and a second ammonium phosphate. It is preferable that the urea, the first ammonium phosphate, and the second ammonium phosphate be included in a weight ratio of urea/first ammonium phosphate/second ammonium phosphate in the range of 5 to 45/0.5 to 15/1 to 20, and it is even more preferable that they be included in a weight ratio of urea/first ammonium phosphate/second ammonium phosphate in the range of 10 to 35/1 to 10/2 to 15. The wood material is coated with the aforementioned formaldehyde scavenger. It is preferable that the aforementioned formaldehyde scavenger be applied in the range of 1-50 g/m2, by dry weight. |
