titleOfInvention | Ga-P-S glass compositions |
abstract | Ga-P-S (gallium phosphorus - sulphur) chalcogenide glass compositions that may have application in infrared (IR) windows, waveguiding fibers, or as host glasses for luminescent dopants are described. The composition limits of the glasses are in atomic percent: 45-85% sulphur, > 0-25% gallium, >0-20% phosphorus. The glasses might also contain selenium (Se), tellurium (Te), 0-20% indium, 0-40% arsenic, 0-15% germanium, 0-10% antimony, and 0-5% of tin, thallium, lead, bismuth, or combinations thereof Se and Te must be smaller or equal to S/2. |
