titleOfInvention | Composition for chemical conversion treatment and process for production of member having black coating by using the composition |
abstract | A composition for chemical conversion treatment which can form, even when the total treated area has reached to a high level, a chemical conversion coating combining excellent black appearance having an L value of less than 28 and high corrosion resistance. The composition is an aqueous composition which contains a chromium(III)-containing substance, a cobalt-containing substance, a sulfur compound, an organophosphonic acid compound and, if necessary, a nickel-containing substance and which is substantially free from chromium(VI). It is preferable that the content of the chromium(III)-containing substance in terms of chromium be 1 to 10 g/L, the content of the cobalt-containing substance in terms of cobalt be 0.1 to 10 g/L, the content of the sulfur compound be 0.1 to 10 g/L, and the content of the organophosphonic acid compound be 0.1 to 20 g/L. When a nickel-containing substance is contained, the content thereof in terms of nickel is preferably 0.10 to 10 g/L. |
