abstract |
A blood analyzer comprising: a sample preparation part in which a first measurement sample containing a blood sample and a hemolytic agent and a second measurement sample containing a blood sample, a hemolytic agent that is the same as the above hemolytic agent and a staining agent are prepared; and a controlling part in which white blood cells in the first measurement sample are classified at least into four groups (i.e., monocytes, neutrophils, eosinophils and others) based on fluorescent data and two kinds of scattering light data formed by a photo data-formation part, while blood cells in the second measurement sample are classified into two groups (i.e., malaria-infected red blood cells and others) based on fluorescent data and scattering light data formed by the photo data-formation part. |
