abstract The invention relates to a natural plant composition for sterilizing Chinese medicinal tablets and a method and a device for sterilizing the Chinese medicinal tablets by using the composition. The natural plant composition comprises natural plants including folium artemisiae argyi, the rhizome of Chinese atractylode, syzygium aromaticum, peppermint and Chinese mosla herb. The sterilization method comprises the following steps of: placing the Chinese medicinal tablets into a closed space; and igniting the natural plant composition in the closed space and fuming the Chinese medicinal tablets with the generated smog. When used, the natural plant composition and the sterilization method in the invention have the advantages of wide sterilization range, low temperature, low cost, non-toxic and environmentally-friendly sterilization process, simple sterilization equipment, convenience of operation, easy popularization and the like. Besides, all quality indexes such appearance, color and luster, smell and ingredients of the traditional Chinese medicinal tablets are not influenced, so that the method is a natural, environmentally-friendly sterilization method.
