abstract The invention relates to a lubricating agent for high-speed wire drawing and a preparation method thereof. The lubricating agent is an aqueous lubricating agent which is characterized in that a polymer ammonium salt is used as a main lubricating material of the lubricating agent, a mixed emulsifying agent consisting of an anionic surface active agent and a nonionic surface active agent is used as an auxiliary agent, and an extreme pressure anti-rusting agent, an anti-wear agent, an antisepsis and mould proof agent and a chelating agent are added to emulsify with water to prepare the lubricating agent, wherein the polymer ammonium salt has good adsorption and film forming properties to the surface of metal, and the quick cleaning effect of various surface active agents to the metal surface ensures that a lubricating adsorption layer is uniform and dense and has obvious anti-wear effect. The lubricating agent can be used for the high-speed wire drawing of brass plated steel wires for steel cords by using carbon tungsten alloy to manufacture a die, and the highest wire drawing speed can reach 10-20m/sec. The lubricating agent has the advantages of high solid content, low using concentration and good long-term stability.
