abstract The invention discloses a method for preparing a compound fertilizer. The method comprises the following steps of: mixing a nitrogen fertilizer, a phosphorus fertilizer, a potassium fertilizer, a filler and other raw materials for producing the compound fertilizer in a pre-processor according to a proportion to prepare the compound fertilizer mixture; adding mixture into a screw extruder and extruding extrudate with various shapes at certain temperature and under pressure; cutting the extrudate into particles; and cooling and screening to form a finished product. The method and the product belong to a novel preparation process and a novel product of the compound fertilizer.
