abstract | Disclosed is a method of producing a transformed plant by using a novel Agrobacterium strain. A method of producing a transformed plant by using a novel Agrobacterium strain which comprises: (i) a co-culture step wherein a plant material inoculated with the Agrobacterium strain is cultured in a co-culture medium; and (ii) a step wherein, without conducting callus growth culture or after conducting callus growth culture, the tissue obtained in the above (i) is cultured in a redifferentiation medium to allow the plant to redifferentiate, characterized in that: 1) a treatment for enhancing transformation is conducted; and 2) in any step from the co-culture to the redifferentiation, no procedure of selecting transformed cells by taking advantage of the characteristic of the nucleic acid that has been transferred by the Agrobacterium strain is conducted. |
