abstract The object aims to express a thermotolerant catalase in the form of a recombinant protein in a large quantity to produce the thermotolerant catalase with high efficiency and at low cost. DNA required for the efficient production of a thermotolerant catalase in the form of a recombinant protein is produced, and a recombinant microorganism capable of expressing the thermotolerant catalase with high efficiency can be produced with high efficiency and at low cost by using the DNA. The thermotolerant catalase can be produced by culturing the recombinant microorganism. Hydrogen peroxide can be decomposed with high efficiency and at low cost even at a higher temperature by treating a solution containing hydrogen peroxide with the thermotolerant catalase.
