abstract The invention discloses a method for preparing ceftobiprole side chain acid shown as a formula (I) and a key intermediate thereof, namely a 5-amino-1,2,4-thiadiazole-3-acetamide derivative (II), which comprises the following steps of: performing rearrangement reaction on 3-amino-5-amido isoxazole (III) and an isothiocyanate compound (IV) in an organic solvent to generate the 5-amino-1,2,4-thiadiazole-3-acetamide derivative (II); performing oximation and hydroxy protection of oxime to obtain a (Z)-2-(5-amino-1,2,4-thiadiazole-3-yl)-2-(triphenylmethoxy)imino acetamide derivative (V); and finally performing basic hydrolysis to obtain the ceftobiprole side chain acid (I). The method mainly has the advantages of simple and readily available raw materials, mild reaction conditions, simple and convenient posttreatment, simple operation and the like, so the method has high implementation value and social and economic benefits.
