| abstract | The present invention provides escalator monitoring device which will not bring distrust like peeking from under side to passengers, can set a monitoring camera on a position where passengers will not be obstructed, and can inhibit wires connected with the monitoring camera to be exposed easily, and setting method thereof. A barrel (10) is hung at a back end side of a movable warning panel acting as a protector in a situation that an ascending direction of the escalator acts as the front direction. The upper part of the barrel (10) is contained with a monitoring camera (11). An inner side of an outer cover plate (6) is provided with an image recording device (25). A wire element (20) connecting the monitoring camera (11) on the image recording device (25) is extended from an upper end in the barrel (10) to a lower end, and extended out of the outer cover plate (6) from the lower end; and wiring is performed facing to the inner side of the outer cover plate (6). |
